Can I take care of it. I would like to get a hold of the unit. Could you also tell me what kind of remote you are using.
-
No not at all. You can record them from any and all. Make sure you are on firmware 3.6 too.
-
yay!
Thanks Yawor for helping out.

Very odd indeed. And only exists on one computer? You could try messing with that computer's key repeat rate.

There is a Flirc - FireTV profile in harmony control center. It's in the media center category.

Let's try a couple things before getting you a replacement.
Do you have the TV or lights on while recording. Flirc is so sensitive, it could be picking up a bunch of noise.
Make sure you on firmware version 3.6, head to the Flirc GUI, go to advanced, and do a force upgrade.
When you see the bootloader version as it upgrades, can you let me know what it is? Should be 2.0 or 2.1.
Once the upgrade is complete, do a file->clear configuration. Then start over.
You should not have to reinstall drivers for this to work correctly. It shows up as a USB keyboard, so it's not necessary at all. Let me know if the latest firmware helps. I'll get it worked out, shouldn't be this painful.

msjaxjag, why wasn't the harmony firetv profile working?
-
fire up the commandline, and do
flirc_util record power
or
flirc_util.exe record power (if you are on windows)
Adding GUI support shortly.

Thanks for posting that grayflirp, appreciate it.

Can you double check the latest version you are on?

Unfortunately you would need an unmodulated signal to solder, or you would need a modulated IR signal

Awesome, enjoy them and use them in good health.
This is a manufacturing problem, and there is no guarantee that longer screws will work for everyone. They have some holes not tapped at all.
In any case, I'm charging them for each mistake, so it's going to magically disappear soon.:)

This doesn't sound right, it should work with a previously paired remote without any additional software. It just shows up as a HID keyboard.
-
rpi2 is up and running, I don't have any issues.
-
if it goes undetected, fire up the gui, and if it tries to autoload firmware, it was in the bootloader.
-
Yeah, I forgot I updated my manufacturing line to use a newer firmware for new devices and those started shipping. Latest GUI's didn't support those, so I had to quickly release an update. Oops. Slaps forehead.

want to run a team viewer?

zadig will show two devices, interface 0 and interface 1. You might have installed zadig over the interface 0, which is the keyboard. Go to device manager, and see if you can uninstall that
-
try closing the gui, unplugging/plugging in the device. Windows sucks
-
okay, I pushed an update to the site. GUI version 1.3.6 should be available. Let me know how that goes.
-
oops, hang in there. I'll push updates soon.

I like that word, potent.
Yes, super sensitive. May help to re-pair you remote and point it away from flirc.
-
are you on 3.5 or 3.6 of the firmware?
-
is your firmware version on the latest?

I can't make them fast enough.
I have some in stock, I'll update my store front. But later this week distributors should be stocked.
