I think this is mostly the right solution (I have an LG C1 but I use a Chromecast with Google TV instead of the LG apps). The only issue I expect would be that in some apps, if you've moved to highlight some UI button other than the play/pause button while something is playing, then let the UI fade out, then click the Skip's Play/Pause button, it might click whatever button you had highlighted instead of just doing a play or a pause. Depends if the app keeps other buttons selected after the UI fades out.

I mainly use Plex to watch things on my LG tv. Unfortunately you have to press the enter button once to get the menu up and a second time to pause. We have a non magic remote too, which has separate play and pause buttons which work perfectly with Plex, which is why I was hoping these could just be toggled on the play/pause button.

Don't have a CX, I do have an E6, which I set the skip Play/Pause button to Cursor Enter and that seems to toggle both play and pause on Hulu, Youtube, Netflix, Prime.

It just happened again, I pressed power, no response from the remote, after that i pressed activity A, again no response, then attached the remote to the computer and downloaded the logs, attached to this message. Edit: after i downloaded the remotes logs, the remote worked normally when connected to the computer, after disconnecting the remote from the computer the remote continued not responding, I then replaced the batteries and the remote again worked normally. I then realized... maybe the occasionally remote is not responding is an indication of an almost empty battery? Perhaps a good idea to have a battery indication ? Just a wild thought to a battery indication. We use Jira internally and I've thought about making it public but often times it contains internal discussions, intellectual property, and would be too much effort to open up internal direction for public debate. Duplicating these efforts on it's face sounds easy, but I'm working 7 days a week 15 hour days. Any minute I have to spare at the moment has to go into progression so we are on more stable grounds or being able to spend a minute with my supportive family. But this product is definitely only going to be successful on ensuring it's built on community feedback and discussion. Which is why I will constantly be on the forums listening, and being proactive about changing our sprints to include feedback. The short term plan is to make it 100% stable, fix stupid UX issues, include learning and user importing / sharing, and fix performance issues. Once those are done, we will take user polls about our biggest plans and which to focus on.
