I'm kinda worried about my decision to buy this remote after reading about the problems being discussed here. Can I cancel my order until this all gets sorted out? Thanks.

I’ve preordered the 1s, and have been trying to hold on and wait for it to be shipped. My current remote has finally failed catastrophically, and I’m now debating if it’s worth trying to find something to tide me over. Is there any updates in for on the shipping date for the February batch of remotes? Cheers.

Warning While we are doing our internal testing, beta firmware can come with occasional bugs. Brand: Singtel Model: HD DVR (Mio TV) Cable Reveiver (Set Top Box) Problem: Press 10 times, maybe 1 or 2 are ok. Most of them no response. No problem when using original remote. I've just got my remote and have installed the Mac app from the website (0.9.4 Beta). The app seems to work fine but you cannot resize the window or make it full screen and some of the buttons are really hard to press because they are at the bottom of the screen. All the options in the View menu are greyed out too, I'm using Mac OS 12.6.3 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)

Hi there. I recently got my Skip 1s and all is going well, except the current activity sometimes swaps back to A for no apparent reason. This is a bit annoying and what's more there is no clear timeout period or anything (happens every few minutes to an hour or more), it just seems to randomly do it. Is this intentional? If so what's the trigger? Thanks for the help.

I am very disappointed to discover the remote only comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable. This is the first consumer electronics device I've purchased that both requires PC connectivity to configure and doesn't work with USB-A. Actually, I've never even seen any other device like this. Everything else can either use a phone app or comes with some way to plug into a USB-A port. I tried a USB-A to USB-C cable I found lying around which physically fit but didn't connect, unsure why. I'm working through trying to set up my equipment and in the first 45 minutes I have run into the following issues: 1. When I clicked the sync button the first time, the app went back to the first screen and wanted me to set up a new remote from scratch. I did so, but then the app found the original configuration and now I have two configuration for the same physical remote, with no way to delete either of them that I can see or find. 2. Sometimes the app will get confused and think it is connected to the opposite remote configuration I'm trying to set up. This especially happens when I manually hit the sync button. 3. I'm enjoying learning how to use the Skip with my setup but I can't figure out how to set it up with my FireTV stick. I just received a FLIRC FireTV edition, how do I set up an activity to control the FireTV stick? I can't find any Amazon products in the app. I've selected the FireTV mapping in the Flirc software but I'm not sure what to do in the Skip app to send signals to the device. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, I set up my tv, receiver, and Nvidia Shield without any problems but this is confusing me. Any help appreciated!

Just wondering if remotes are still being shipped out, and if not, can we please get an idea of when shipping might resume? I’m looking to order the 1s but have a quick question on compatibility. My setup is relatively simple. My current Harmony remote allows me to control my AppleTV, TV, Sonos PlayBase and some Hue lights. I’ve been reading some threads where Sonos is controllable (only need volume up / down and mute) however I’m wondering about the Hues. I use my current remote to be able to turn the lights on and off as well as have them set up in various activities. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm trying to create a sequence to my power button for Activity A that will turn on the TV and change the input to antenna. I'm assigning two actions to the button, the first one is "Power On" and the second one is "Input Antenna". It seems that doesn't matter what I do, only the first action is actually sent by the remote. Whatever I put as the first action is the one activated. I tried setting a delay of 4 seconds on the first action in the sequence (Power On) so that the second action (Input Change) is triggered 4 seconds after. Scenario: * I'm in activity A now (watching Bluray from HDMI1 input). * I want to switch to activity B (watching cable TV from HDMI input2). * I press red button. Remote will send command to switch to HDMI2. * TV is showing content from cable TV. When I press navigation buttons, there's no response because remote is still in activity A mode. I want to add switching activity command after switching HDMI command. Any idea if it's possible now?

Could someone please clarify how the Skip works when changing activities, in regards to powering on/off devices and changing inputs? Eg: * I have a TV, PVR (connected to HDMI 1), and an Apple TV (connected to HDMI 2). * I press the power button on the remote, and it turns on the TV and PVR, and sets the input to HDMI 1. * How do I then later power off the PVR, then power on the Apple TV, and switch to HDMI 2? * How do I then power off the Apple TV and TV (given the PVR should now be off)?

Hi, Coming from a Harmony remote, trying to figure out what's the best way to configure my workflow for the Skip 1s. Basically, I have two Activities. Acivity A is for watching TV (turn TV on, switch to Antenna input, button clicks go to the TV itself), and Activity B is for watching my Nvidia Shield (turn TV on, switch to HDMI input, button clicks go to the Nvidia Shield). My question is, how do I switch between the two? If I power on using Activity A and the TV is turned on and the input is on Antenna, and I want to switch to the Sheild, my understanding is that if I then click on the "B" button it won't switch my input the HDMI (knowing that in the previ…

Hey there! So I've seen the advertisements for the Skip 1s and have noticed that there is a menu point called "Sonos". My question is if I can buy the Skip 1s and use it to control my sonos sound bar/sound system with it. I ask specifically to control Night Mode and base with it. Can I bind specific actions to buttons on the 1s? Thanks in advance for answering!

I ordered this back when it was first announced.... and haven't heard anything since, except "It's coming" I love my FLIRC receiver, but the more I hear about this remote, the less interested I am. I was dazzled by the idea of it, but I didn't stop to look at the actual product, and I'm experiencing buyers remorse.

I currently have Disk network. My Wife uses the voice (Google assistant) button frequently. In order to keep her happy, can that be added? ie: is there a mic on the Skip 1?
