A lot was rewritten as this is now a truly cross-platform application running on Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS. iOS has limitations due to the inability to communicate with USB devices and is currently still private testing. linux cant detect my remote

Hi, I'm trying to add some IR remotes, but the Record button is greyed out and the Learning tab has nothing in it. I've tried plugging in the remote with the batteries out and holding down Enter and Return, tried through WSL2 USB passthrough but had no luck connecting. I've got it working before without any issues but for whatever reason nothing is happening this time. Is there anything else I can try? Hello Jason I am using Version 0.9.994 (Build 9468) of the Skip App. I Factory Reset my Remote due to some Issues where it was not Transmitting any Signals to any of my Devices. I have Setup it up again, from Scratch but have some Issues. I have Added the following Devices: LG TV (Group 1) Marantz - NR/SR Main Zone All Models Flirc (KODI) When I Press the Power Button on the Remote, the AVR Switches Off then On again, or On then Off. I'm setting up my Skip 1s for the first time. I'm assigning the digits 1 through 5 to activate an HDMI switcher (via receiver) on one of the inputs. As such, each time you press one of these it should also activate HDMI 3 on the TV. All this is going great, but once I've assigned the "INPUT HDMI3" button several times, I no longer can get a drag handle to add this button again. I'm confident if I tweak the config file manually it might work, but is this intentional UI behavior? Thanks, David

No matter what I do, after training and then hitting the "save" button, I am never able to progress through the wizard. The next arrow is greyed out and it is as if I didn't train a remote at all. Has anyone experienced this problem - and do you have a solution? Thanks! I have a J-Tech Digital 8x8 matrix that is unlisted and it is very frustrating to not have this functionality.

Trying to map buttons, and when I click a device I see the first portion of the available buttons to drag to the remote. However, I only see "CC through Digit 1", the first page of the alphabetical list. I see a tiny scroll bar, partially covered by the button list, but it does nothing. Arrow keys do nothing to scroll, cannot resize window as it seems locked in size. Maximizing the app snaps it back to the original size. Windows 10 21H2. C

What's New After discovering a really frustrating bug that would cause windows to crash, we released a few hot fixes with not much public notice. They are already live. However, in the midst of these releases, we accidentally enabled play/pause and mute toggle feature...without the firmware. Hi! Have tested a bit with the latest version of the app for linux (SkipApp-0.9.984.8921-Beta). Can record a remote but the remote does not shows up in the list of selectable remotes when configuring the Skip remote. The remote is a Lindy Model 38249 remote. As there are already a few Lindy remotes in the database, this is how it looks like in the UI when I try to search for the added Lindy remote. I suspect that the first "Lindy" in the pulldown menu could be the added remote - not sure, while the second entry probably is the entry for the remotes already in the database. I am using Linux Mint 21.1. I tried "skip-app_0.9.982+8843_amd64.AppImage" and "skip-app_0.9.984+8908_amd64.AppImage" I am able to create an activity (watch TV with a Sony TV and a Videotron set top box). When I click "Test Device" during setup, I am able to turn on and off the devices I am adding. But when I try to use the buttons on the remote itself, nothing is working... No lights on the remote, no buttons are doing any action... I tried unplugging the remote without success. Hi! Tried the SkipApp-0.9.982.8843-Beta-x64.AppImage for linux. While the remote connects as such, but the record button stays grayed out. Could it be that record is not yet supported? Just general cleanup and quality of life improvements with this one. We are a bit behind, I had to make a decision to pick back up the react native desktop upgrade again, and with that has brought us a lot of problems. But if we don't do that, one day, windows is going to push an update that breaks the app completely, we need to stay up to date. Good news is we have a light at the end of the tunnel. Just got a Skip 1s, having lots of issues with the Skip App. Issue 1) Admin - Brands - "Add" button does nothing at all when clicked, I assume its meant to ask me for a file location to import/add? Annoyed as this is the whole reason I bought the 1s, to add custom Pronto codes... Issue 2) All of the copy to clipboard buttons just show a dialog "RN Clipboard is not supported" Issue 3) The "Website", "Community" and "Manual" menu items in the lower right menu do nothing. Hi Flirc, Just got myself (Europe) this remote to replace them EOL Logitech remotes and this looked like a very good option, was already looking a long time for good alternatives... When my first specific device wasn't listed (Siligence SGS7233MB) I wanted to learn it trough the wizard. It did register but complains about "We're unable to reach our servers" - see attached screenshot. I am able to open the ir.flirc.io website so it doesn't look like it's a firewall or connection thing? Fyi I am in Europe. Is the server down? is there a way to know upon clicking Power button --it is triggering Power On or Power Off, because due to my set up I have command for power off but not for power on. Does it light up differently?

SkipApp: 0.9.980.8617 Remote version: SKIP.1S.RELEASE.A06 Firmware: 4.13.8-0-g62f5aba Tested OS: Linux and Windows 11 I try to learn my Philips 65PUS9435 TV remote and generally it works fine, but I cannot learn the OK button. Up, Down, Left, Right works fine, but when I press the OK button on the original remove nothing happens, the Skip1s simply does not seem to see this OK signal. Distance between the two remotes is OK, batteries of both remotes are also OK, the TV even reacts on the OK button press. This behavior is the same on the Linux and the Windows app. What can I do to help debugging this? Regards Oliver
