  4. Hi All, I just received my Flirc 2 and I am testing to see which configuration I want to go with.. I have a few questions that I am hoping I can get answered. I am running a Windows 10 Pro 64bit HTPC without Media Center and I use Logitech Harmony Ultra remotes with Hubs. I want to be able to navigate through Windows and the Apps I use frequently. VLC Player is what I use the most. I started mapping the remote buttons with the full keyboard. The first problem I saw was that I cannot use just the Windows Key without something else. I need to use the windows Key by itself for the ease of opening the App list. Is it possible to use only the Windows Key? The next problem was in VLC Player. In order to access the menu bar at the top you need to press the Alt Key. Once again it will not let you program the Alt key without adding another key. Is it possible to use only the Alt Key? Also, How many pre-made profiles are available with the Logitech Harmony Hubs? I see one for Kodi.. Are there others? Also what is the best method of controlling a windows PC with the Flirc, Logitech Harmony Hubs and Windows 10 Pro 64bit HTPC without Media Center? Thanks for any help....
  5. I sadly returned the gen2 Flirc and I'm still using the gen1 to this day with zero issues. I haven't investigated this since the original posting and it seems like nothing has changed based your posts.
  6. I know people are busy, but my question shouldn't take much time or effort to answer. I really like my Flirc case. Its one of the sexiest cases on the market and the fact that it is its own heat spreader gives it a partial solution to the heat problem. It doesn't seem to have a lot of air flow, though. Has Flirc addressed this problem?
  7. Are there any site admins there even browse these forums? I have not received a response from FLIRC since i posted this topic over a month ago @Chris! @jason @towerhousestudio @yawor @Budwyzer @digitalb0y @Ryanmo Can someone address my original post please.

  9. Do any Flirc RPi4B cases have a fan? I played a youtube video for around 10 minutes and my Flirc aluminum case got pretty warm. Scott
  10. Hello, i have a lowe tv which have a remote control which can switch between tv, radio, recorder and dvd player. But only loewe products per default and i have only the tv. So i have thinked that one of them can be used to control a raspberry kodi. But if i pair the remote with the flirc ir receiver. I only can pair one key. If i want to pair another key: He say "This Button is already used". In tv mode all keys can be paired. So i think the remote splits in dvd mode the signal in two parts (DVD Code + Key Code). But flirc only get the first and interpret all other keys as the same, because all have the DVD Code. Can i tell flirc somehow, that it needs to use the whole code?

  14. Is this forum dead? IS the product dead :D? Wasnt here for a while... wouldnt be suprised :(
  15. I adjusted the interkey delay on my Harmony remote between 20 and 1000 and the repeat rate did not change.
  16. I'm looking to buy just the thermal pads for the Flirc Raspberry Pi 3b (regular) case Kodi version, but I can't find them anywhere online.
  17. When I try to force an update it says "Your firmware is version 3.9.0 The latest version is 3.9.00" Is there a meaningful difference?
  18. Brother, you understand that Flirc is not just an ordinary USB storage device :D https://flirc.tv/more/flirc-usb Go to the NEW HARDWARE FEATURES section in the middle of the website to check whats in it :)
  19. Hey there. Can you upgrade your flirc to the latest firmware? Why are you stuck on 3.9? Best regards
  20. Hey mate. Use the flirc_util tool to check whats bonded. flirc_util keys I would delete all the keys and rebind them again. But everytime you do that, after 1 bind, type flirc_utils keys to check whats going on. It sounds more like a faulty remote then a faulty Flirc. Good luck
  21. Hey mate. I just tested your buffer and as it looks from here, everything's just fine. If you didn't got any error while sending it, the transmit was successful. Dont forget that the transmitter is only 2mm big, and as the devs said, it will transmit to max 6-8 feet. Not sure what your distance, but try to get it closer. p.s. you said that you have 2 of them? I hope they are on 2 different pcs. Try to enable the device log with the Enable IR Debugging on the ONE that receives, and send the mentioned buffer from the other one. You will see if the transmit was successful. Just an idea.
  22. Hey there. Here you go mate: http://blog.flirc.tv/index.php/2017/08/06/sdk-release-linux-rpi-ir-transmit-support/ Near the bottom of the post ;)
  23. Hey there. If you look at this video, the comparison between 3 and 4, you can see the difference on the placed elements like USBs, network and so on. But the size and holes on the motherboard are looking the same. If you ask me. Good luck.
  24. Hey mate. First of all, you need to check which Flirc you have. Plastic or metal one? If you have the metal one, your wishes will come true :) This is the Blog post you will be intrested in: http://blog.flirc.tv/index.php/2017/08/06/sdk-release-linux-rpi-ir-transmit-support/ Great explained by Jason what you need to do to make it work ;) Best Regards
  25. Firmware Detected Version: v4.6.3v4.6.3 SKU: Flirc 2.0 [nemo] Branch: master Config: release Hash: 0x93A109D3 Hello everyone. As mentioned on all of the tutorials, I enabled the debuging, read my data from the remote of my AC, and got this code: 459,588,461,582,463,584,1550,577,464,583,460,588,463,584,459,588,459,584,463,584,459,583,464,584,1543,588,1550,582,459,610,1518,614,433,588,459,584,463,583,464,583 As you can see, it is smaller and it does not start with a 0. When I try to send it with send_ir_raw, this is the message I get: [E] util/flirc_util/src/ir_transmit.c send_ir_raw(76): buffer incorrect Does anyone know what the difference is or how the tool calculates the validity of the buffer? If the receiver receives the code, why cant he send it trough? Anyway, thank you all!
  26. (Skip to the bottom 5-6 lines for the actual issue, the rest of this is just me trying to provide as much info as possible). I have 4 Flircs (3x V1, 1x V2), and 3 Kodi Boxes (2x HTPC, 1x Raspberry Pi), and 4x Comcast Remotes (1x Older Style and 3x of the slightly newer style - one is broken). Recently I had to replace one of the newer style remotes due to physical damage to the older one. Upon pairing the new remote to a Flirc V1, it prompted me to upgrade the firmware so I figured why not. Did that, and tried to setup the new remote to no avail. It looks like the new remote only uses IR for a few functions (When on the 'TV Setting'), because it processes every key as the same key when in the 'Cable' setting, despite looking the exact same as the other remotes of that style that I had. Before noticing that was the issue, I took my Flirc V2 and tried to pair it with the newer style remotes (Not the newly purchased one) to see if it worked, as the other newer style remotes that I had seemed to work OK with the Flirc V2. It was still giving me the same issue with the keypresses, so I figured I'd give it a firmware update and see if that helped at all. Unfortunately it didn't and this was when I started to realize that the newest remote just isn't going to work. So then I went back and tried to re-pair my Flirc V2 to the remote it was previously connected to. That worked just fine, all the buttons registered ok, great. I noticed while doing so there was a fix for the Flirc being unresponsive when waking from sleep, so I figured I'd go back and update all of the other Flircs I have as well (Except one of them, which I still haven't touched as it works flawlessly, no sleep issues, nothin). Now, I've got 3 Flircs (2x V1s and 1x V1) and two different types of Comcast Remotes (1x Older 2x Newer), and the only one that hasn't had the firmware upgraded settings changed on it within the newest software version is the only one that doesn't seem to have some pretty severe delays between keypresses. Whether I'm pressing a button repeatedly, or whether I'm holding 'Down' to scroll through an episode guide, there's a solid ~half a second delay between each time it registers. In the past I could scroll through ~1000 channels in about 20 seconds. Now it takes nearly 3 minutes. I see that the V1 flirc (fw 3.6.0) that I worked on today does still have the Interkey Delay option. When I set this to 6 or 7, it does seem to resolve my issues a bit. Not perfect, but much better than at 0-3. The delay is consistent no matter which remote, or which TV. Edit: After testing a little more, the flirc V1 that I did not touch today is ALSO on 3.6.0, but does not have the delay issues on either HTPC. It is also set to Interkey 7, but even after loading it into the software (No changed settings, mind you) it still works flawlessly. Likewise with the V1 Flirc on fw 3.9.0. Once i changed that interkey delay, things seem to work a little better. Probably about 45seconds to scroll through ~1000 channels (Compared to the ~20s / 3min times previously mentioned). But with the V2 (4.6.3) that's not an option and it's unfortunately become pretty useless for me, as it takes me about 5 minutes from start-up to finally actually finding the channel or TV show due to how slow navigating the menus has become. It should probably also be mentioned that I upgraded the Flirc GUI today from ~v2.x.x to 3.22.4. Essentially any Flirc that I've worked on since making that upgrade, has had the delay issue. Is there any repository of older firmware versions, or older software versions, where one could download a few to try them out? I unfortunately have no recollection of what FW I upgraded the V2 FROM, so I don't know exactly which one I need to request.
  27. left over parts i come across. only thing i purchased for the htpc was the case and lcd panel. ورق ام دی اف great
  28. Is anyone able to comment on the compatibility of the new Flirc Raspberry Pi 4 Case with the Pimoroni OmniVESA? Looks like it was compatible with earlier versions.
