GUI v1.0.5 Disconnected

Recommended Posts

downloaded the Windows GUI 1.0.5 and installed it on my HTPC (Windows 7 64 bit, FLICR connected through a USB 3.0 port).

The GUI installed fine, but it showed the FLIRC status as disconnected. The driver in device manager shows 6.1.7600.16385 with a date of 2/28/2012.

I've tried removing both the drivers from the system (via device manager) and uninstalling/reinstalling the GUI. I've also tried the Zadig tool as noted in the forum post on the topic. Still no luck.

Any ideas?

experienced some sort of similar problems, which i have solved as follows:

- Disconnecting the device from the system

- reinstalled the gui (over) with the latest aviable version

- plugged in the device and waiting for the driver installation

- started the gui, which prompted as device connected and started programming.

If that isn't working for you, here some suggestions:

- always (temp) deactivate any running security software with realtime scanning, sandboxing or similar functions, which may interrupt or block the driver installation process.

- reinstall the gui and plug the device into another usb-port (the driver should be installed again).

- check this link for a freeware tool, which can help to fix problems with usb devices.

Maybe some of this could help?

Sorry for the delay  response. I've been on holiday.

Anyway, I followed the instructions, but didn't have any luck until I used a USB 2 port. The GUI .96 version does work on the USB 3 port. I upgraded the GUI and firmware to use the wake from sleep function. The down side for me is no USB 2 port on the front of the HTPC. The FLIRC works on the USB 3.0 port. The programming GUI does not show the FLIRC as connected. So, no programming on the USB 3 port.

Is anyone else having issues with the GUI on a USB 3 port?
