bbmettler
I’ve had Flirc for a few months and it’s great to be able to use it with our Fire TV but the only thing is that it only works when the remote is pointed directly at the box. It can’t be slightly angled up or down by even an inch otherwise it doesn’t work which is pretty annoying. Is this normal? The remote is a Harmony 650. jason
No, it shouldn't be. Mine is behind my tv inbetween my wall and TV, doesn't skip a beat. Any chance you can show a picture of the setup? Perhaps your TV is causing some interference, is it in front of the TV Screen, or behind? bbmettler
No it’s sitting right in the front on our TV stand direct line of sight. Now since it’s plugged in to the back of the FireTV would that make a difference? Should I get a little USB extendor so the Flirc sits in front? FS3
That's what I did with mine. Last week my Harmony one quit controlling FireTv but a reboot fixed it. I also am using a Hub with an Airmouse/keyboard to Fire Tv as well. The hub sits beside the FireTv and points Flirc toward where I sit.
