SM Bus Controller and USB Hub both no good on install

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I was able to program my FLIRC dongle on my office PC pretty easily but I'm experiencing a show-stopper problem on my HTPC. My HTPC is running Win7/64.

I loaded the FLIRC software download from your site before connecting the dongle but I get "No Driver Found" for both Universal Serial Bus (USB) controller and SM Bus Controller. And while the software itself installs OK, I can't do anything with it. I've been at this all weekend with no luck. Any idea what I can try? I've quite literally got 30+ hours into this thing and I'm no further than I was in hour one.

I don't fully get that. SM Bus has nothing to do with Flirc and even with the USB itself. For me it looks like you have bigger driver problem on your hardware. Are the USB ports working on it at all?

Yes, every other USB device is working just fine. FLIRC software registers the presence of the dongle but these two errors in the DevManager and it won't recognize key commands. It works fine on my other PC.
