Hi, I want to get a 2013 Magic Remote because the layout is perfect for what I want, but I'm aware that getting it to work is less than intuitive. If I'm just getting a Magic Remote and don't have an LG TV, will I still be able to use it with my Flirc and would anyone be willing to help me through it? I haven't bought the remote yet, I thought it would be sensible to do my due diligence first. Cheers

Y'all can mark this thread as resolved. The driver doesn't work on Windows 8.1 yet. Jason's acknowledged the shortcoming and is working on it. Plugging the Flirc device into another machine -- or a virtual machine (perhaps even Windows Virtual PC thru XP mode) using USB passthrough on a more compatible operating system will allow users to program the device. Once the settings have been written to memory, the device will work fine on Windows 8.1 -- you just won't be able to set anything without repeating the process. This also works for setting interkey delay, contrary to what I was saying earlier. After trying it I had no issues.

It registers that there is a multikey delay (6) as opposed to giving me a blank screen as before, but it doesn't acknowledge my changes. When trying to register changes, the program crashes.

I am. The latest firmware is 1.0.2-rc. It comes with the 1.0.4 GUI.

Device also appears to be inserting and re-inserting itself randomly; I'm hearing random 'device disconnected/reconnected' sounds every few minutes now. Joy.
