I'm also seeing the same problem....running Ubuntu 11.10 and XBMC. I can see in the xbmc.log that keys are being "pressed" when I'm not touching the remote. As an example, I have the "a" key mapped to xbmc.ejectTray and my dvd tray keeps ejecting/closing when I haven't used the remote.
