  1. It's ok when people are reasonable and nice about it. Enjoy your flirc!
  2. How did you program the remote? Using the pre-pared flirc profile on myharmony? Your amp is controlled by IR too? Easiest way to think of it: Flirc is just a USB keyboard. If you tried pressing XBMC/Kodi keyboard buttons on windows desktop it would do the same. What would you like flirc to do when it's on windows desktop? Open Kodi by pressing a button on the remote?
  3. Modmypi/the pi hut should be easier as it's based in the EU so has free trade of goods (you shouldn't be taxed). They're good as well. There is a good chance you would get charged tax if Jason sent it from US (even if it were just one Flirc), the more flircs you buy the more you will be taxed. Also if it's sent from Jason then it's going to take weeks to arrive.
  4. Correct. However you could assign a button on your remote to open the plex app You would have to figure out how to open plex using a keyboard combination. http://support.apple.com/kb/ph13916 e.g. tell mac that when you press ctrl+p to open plex app then assign a remote button to ctrl+p using the Flirc GUI Does this help?
  5. Best way to understand the strength and weaknesses of Flirc is to understand how it appears to the computer as a regular usb keyboard. You could always not press the remote when you are using iTunes. Could you describe your usage scenario a bit more and how flirc isn't fitting in?
  6. Thanks Yawor, amended the help doc - just need to replace the screenshots @Marcus: Sorry for hijacking your thread
  7. Sorry, not sure how to answer your question. However I want to jump on this thread to ask Jason/Yawor/anyone else about a helpdesk article about Wake that I've marked as out of date as it mentioned some old releases of Flirc. How applicable is this still? https://flirc.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200904676--Out-of-date-Getting-flirc-to-wake-up-your-computer
  8. bootldr should come up as one of the devices attached if it is there. In theory if the main flirc part breaks it should still have the bootldr as a device in the device manager.
  9. Hi, I think there might be a bit of language barrier here so i'm going to try making a quick step by step video. Give me 2 mins
  10. Strange. Glad it's working now.
  11. Did it stop working out of the blue or after a firmware upgrade? Is there a "bootldr" device detected at all?
  12. Maybe try asking the guys at myharmony, i've done all I can to help
  13. Where abouts in the world do you live? I wonder if your flirc is just defective in someway - we had a thread a few years ago where nothing was making it work, then we tried a different device and it was fine. Though the circumstances maybe different, I'll get Jason involved
  14. In the video I didn't right click at all. I clicked on the volume button then pressed setup (everytime you hear a "thunk" sound in the video - that's my trackpad clicking)
  15. Ok, I didn't do anything fancy but hopefully it helps. forgot to mention to sync the settings too (I did this quickly in bed, my voice sounds weird though on this video)
  16. I'm just going to make a youtube video, hopefully it'll help. Might take some time - bear with me
  17. By chance they weren't captured every 2 presses were they? e.g. Press "ok" - no response Press "ok" - a response Press "ok" - no response etc etc What HPTC do you have? Raspberry pi? Understandably, and Jason would give you a refund @Jason: Is there a chance that this Flirc is defective? It doesn't seem to have any common symptoms to fixes we usually suggest. Could we tell from a configuration file?
  18. Which one? (I'm going to assume the latter) If you program the harmony TV profile to your TV (e.g. samsung), then program another device onto the harmony as per our help article (either a different tv brand or Flirc profile. In the harmony settings you can click on the buttons in one profile and tell it to use another profile for those buttons. e.g. Your using the flirc profile on your harmony, but when you press the volume it uses the TV profile Or am I missing something from your issue?
  19. When prograaming, very sensitive. After it's been programmed it's less sensitive to stray commands. Do you have a 3D TV?
  20. New sub forum? [edit, so there could be different threads for different keymappings? e.g. Keymappings for Netflix Keymappings for Plex etc ?] I've compiled all the info in the help document so far: https://flirc.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203167509-Setting-up-Flirc-with-PS4 I'll have another quick scan of this thread and update that doc, i've also requested the spreadsheet clotter sent you (couldn't find it in the helpdesk tickets)
  21. You're using the TV remote to control the tv and the harmony remote to control PHT? Or is the harmony programmed for both (one profile for tv and a different profile for Flirc?)
