This is actually something I was curious about as well, I don't remember which thread I read this in but... CTRL + ESC = WIN Key ctrl+esc is the exact same thing as the windows key, it will bring up the start menu on Win 7 and Win 8. This is especially useful for Win 8 to start xbmc or any other program on the start menu, although the same can be said for Win 7. It'd be nice to see the Win key turned into and actual key as well as a modifier in the gui at some point.
