[Nvidia Shield 2019 - which android IR remote codes to use?]

Regarding controlling the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 with FLIRC USB / IR codes.

Is there a specific Android IR remote that the FLIRC will recognize out of the box for basic control of the Shield 2019?

I would like to use a standard Android IR remote control with the Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro (which is bluetooth remote only out of the box).

 

What is the process to do this?  Once you plug in FLIRC USB, how do you verify the FLIRC device is working from the Shield Setting page?  Is there any other setup involved, or is it plug and play and it will automatically recognize a standard android box IR remote?
