Great, i will give that a shot. a little busy over the next two days but it's high on my want to do list ;-). If you have a recommended IR blaster (or a way to repurpose the Harmony IR blaster), please do let me know.

So, I was just coming back to update you on what steps i've taken. So I pulled the Flirc dongle out and plugged it back into my computer and there were a few updates for it. I went to program it again using the updated shield config, but during the process, i'm running into problems with the mapping. When I walk through the configuration - it will ask for the directional pad and the select button, followed by the power button and menu button. However, when i select the power button on my Skip, the application seems to record multiple commands (or something like that) because it will accept that the power has been programmed, blink for the menu for a moment, and then ask for the home key. If i go back to the menu it says it's already been selected. So here's where we are at - The skip is turning my tv on and off. The skip is working with my shield - but the home and menu buttons keep getting recorded as the same The reciever is still not responding.

Sorry for being vague - i'm using the skip with line of site until i get it to work. Then i'll want to get an IR Repeater that works with it (if you have a suggestion that would be great). For the shield, the USB port is back. I've tried pointing the skip at it from the back and the shield still does not respond. My receiver does not respond either. The tv is the only one that works. Sorry for the delay as i've been away. I have the NVIDIA SHIELD TV PRO from 2019. I've been using my logitech harmony remote with it using the harmony IR blasters. The device resides in my AV closet along with my receiver. I have plugged the usb into the back of the device. I feel like i will need to purchase something else but not sure what that else is at this tim.

okay, factory reset the skip and that has helped a little. My activity has 3 devices: - sony tv - 4k UR2 - sony receiver - STR-ZA2100ES - Nvidia Shield The on/off on the tv works. However, that is the only thing that responds. I have my shield set to both handle navigation and the media/music controls, and my receiver set to control my audio. Any suggestions? I'm not totally surprised that the audio doesn't work (per the initial issue), but i am surprised my shield doesn't respond.

Hi, That is what it's currently set to. I tried the other available options as well and none worked.

I have a Bravia 4KUR2 and a STR-ZA2100ES receiver. Neither comes up in the device list. I tried setting up the remote with other sony products - but that did not solve the problem. Windows 11 FWIW. Please let me know if there are options to get it working until the codes are added.

hi folks, I have the newest model nvidia shield and i control it via a logitech harmony remote. I do almost all of my content consumption in Plex. To that end, I have a couple of questions: 1) Is it possible, with FLIRC, to get it so that I can hit a button on my logitech remote to toggle the subtitles without having to go into the Plex UI and navigate manually? I ask because I used flirc back in the day with my windows based HTPC and it worked great. I'm not sure if this is a plex issue or an android tv issue so I really want to make sure it works for my specific situation. 2) If the answer is yes to the first one - would I need to configure all of my activities and such that are tied to my shield or would i do something else? My Harmony is currently connected as a "harmony Keyboard". Thanks!

Hi folks, I recently swapped out my windows based HTPC for a Shield TV. I've got it up and running no sweat and have an activity tied to my Harmony Ultimate. No problems there. However, I'm interested in understanding if my flirc is even useful at this point. Does anyone out there have any good examples of how to use flirc with a shield tv? I would love to toggle subtitles, change audio feeds, and play directly from the plex dashboard (as opposed to having to go into a film or tv episode's detail page) but I don't think that's possible. Am I wrong? If i am - and this stuff can be done - is there a guide out there? Regardless, to reiterate my earlier statement - any of you kind folks using FLIRC w. Shield TV and if so why?
