  1. Hi,

I recently got my Flirc and have programmed it using using the software v1.3.6I'm using it on XBMC for my Ouya but the problem is that every time I press a button it either acts like I've pressed it twice or it doesn't respond to the press.

It's almost impossible to use. It seems like the keys are too sensitive?

I have tried reprogramming keys and made sure I have a direct line of sight but I've still got the problem. This is the remote I am using Mag 254 Remote

I've heard that you should try recording each button press twice but after I've recorded it once, it brings up a message saying "Button already exists. 'cancel' 'redo'

    Could someone please help?

    Thank you

  2. That's great to hear that you work at NVIDIA!

Unfortunately, at the moment I do not have a Shield TV due to money constraints. I'm looking to get one in this month though.

Hopefully in the meantime someone else will be able to provide the information you need if they have a unit.

I really appreciate your response though and look forward to any development on this front, thank you very much.

  3. I think that the remote itself doesn't have any "SMS-type" input logic built-in and labels on the buttons are only to help when the receiver end has such ability (for example an option in TV receiver to enter some text). I've seen some remotes with such labes and they all send just the same code no matter how many times you press the buttons.

On the top right of the remote there is a keyboard button labelled 'KB' which gave me hope but I will be ordering Flirc anyway since it's such a great device.

  4. Hi everyone,

I'm planning on buying this remote and using it with Flirc on Kodi (XBMC).

The remote has numbers from 0 to 9 which can also be used to input text much like older mobile phones that do not have a QWERTY keyboard.

My query is, would this work on Kodi? Would I be able to program the buttons with Flirc?

    Many thanks!
