I'm running Kodi 15.1 with Windows 10. I have the "wake" function from suspend working with a Harmony One. I want to try your solution for a "suspend" function but I am a real beginner. What is "SSH" and where under Services do I find it; I looked for something like it but didn't recognize anything it might be.

Assuming you don't actually have a Panasonic TV, then, yes, that will work. in your case (replacing the K400), you just want to pick a device to mimic that you don't actually own (so key presses don't correspond to another device in your system). Based on your toolbar comment, I'm assuming you are able to do everything you want without using the K400's track pad. If that's NOT the case, you should look into mimicking a remote that has a mouse function--I don't know of one offhand, maybe someone smarter than me can chime in.

Just my $0.02 worth as the owner of a few Harmony remotes over the past 10 years or so--their value comes almost exclusively from their ability to be programmed to control "Activities" by the end user. For example, I push the button for "Watch BluRay" and every device needed to watch a Bluray is turned on and set to proper input (e.g., Bluray player, TV, Receiver, room lighting, etc), and then every programmed button works the corresponding device (volume controls TV or AVR, channel the BR player, etc) so in that sense it is much more than just a programmable universal remote with volume punch through that declutters your coffee table. the interface is pretty simple, so once programmed, it makes a complicated AV system easy enough for the babysitter or wife to use. And there's an interactive help button so that if something isn't working correctly it will almost always resolve the problem, even for the less technologically inclined. Buying a more expensive model increases the number of devices that can be controlled, plus adds Bluetooth , RF and, for Fanboys, it lets you use your phone or tablet as a remote so your smartphone won't feel ignored. if you've already got a lower-priced Harmony (say the 6560) and just need to control an HTPC/FireTV/etc, that doesn't have an IR remote, (and have room to add another device or know how to get around the limitation), then I agree, adding the Flirc rather than upgrading to a harmony Ultimate makes more sense to me too. That being said, there's a lot to dislike about the Harmonys, and I'm definitely going to take a look at the JP1 forums yawor mentioned.

first sorry for my bad English, I try explain my problem. I have the Flirc Streacom Edition Model.
I configure my harmony 350 with Flirc profile but it hasn't the power button mapped and it doesn't emit any signal.
In the harmony I learn a remote signal and assign it to power button but the button doesn't emit any signal. The assign process is correct but the power button doesn't work with flirc profile (it doesn't emit any signal), but with others profiles it works perfect and it emit signals.Can Someone say me how can I make work the power button with the profile? Is necessary some actualization?Thanks for the support.Francisco: Creo que el problema no es con el Flirc. Los remotos Harmony no mandan un señal para arrancar/apagar un dispositivo. Cuando oprimas cualquier de los cuatro botones de actividades, el Harmony arranca los dispositivos necesario para dicho actividad. Cuando oprimas el boton de "power", manda otro serie de señales para apagar los dispositivos que pertenecen a la actividad que eligiste. Si quieres controlar Espero que esta explanacion sea util.

Not to be argumentative, but I can't reconcile

If you could never program it, how did it ever work at all? If you're saying you initially could program it and now you can't, then--although unlikely--it sounds like the IR receiver went bad and you should exchange for a new one.

So you can program the Flirc without a problem, i.e., you get the "command learned" confirmation dialogue and then if you press that key again it will light up on the GUI? What system did you use to program the Flirc?
What happens if you use a keyboard with the OSMC/Kodi system? Does it stay "connected" and recognize the commands it sends?

Also, can anyone chime in with using a Harmony with a Flirc to control KODI from the amazon fire tv?
I've got two Harmony/Flirc setups, main one using a 650 , secondary using a 550. Logitech had no profile for the Flirc when I bought them so I just programmed manually. In the Harmony software I set the Flircs up as Media Center PC. Any Harmony buttons that weren't given a function by the Harmony software I programmed manually using an old TWC cable box remote(including several softkeys). In my experience (again, manually programming vs using a pre-populated profile) it doesn't matter what command/signal you teach the Harmony to output when you push a button as long as it is a unique IR command--that is, different from all other IR commands used by your system.
Once the Harmony is set up, I move on to the Flirc. I start by assigning the navigation arrows, select, return, home, and info buttons with the Flirc's FireTV interface. Then I switch the Flirc to the full keyboard interface and assign the remaining keys (play as P, pause as spacebar, etc). I like taking advantage of some of the more niche keyboard commands like ' for jumping back 7 seconds, switching subtitle languages, next audio lang, etc, and so that's why I always go to the trouble to teach every button on the Harmony.
One other thing I do when programming the Flirc is make a list of the Harmony key and the corresponding Flirc/Kodi command. Once I'm all done I fire up the system and run down the list to make sure everything is working as expected. Anything that isn't gets reprogrammed, and the list ensures that I'm consistent with my button assignments. Hope this was helpful.
Having said all that, my 550 has always worked perfectly (probably shouldn't have said that). My 650 is another story. Lots of problems with double key presses. I've experimented with every value for Interkey delay, bouncing the IR off 2 walls when programming the Flirc, following Harmony's troubleshooting for "my device responds too much". Nothing seems to make it work as well as it does with the 550. I've swapped the Flirc's, updated to latest FW, yet it's always the 650 that misbehaves. The 650 has no problems with any other gear in my system, yet the Flirc works as advertised with my 550, Unfortunately they just don't seem to play well together.

Nevermind, finally figured out I needed to enter the full path "flirc_util.exe interkey_delay 7". Strangely this change improved direction arrows up and down, but made left and right much worse than 6. Go figure.

and just as a test, i wiped out all devices and activities from my Harmony One.
added Flirc::FireTV as the only device.
Plugged in Flirc, wiped configuration, loaded FireTV controller, mapped all of the buttons from my Harmony One.
Plugged Flirc into FireTV, booted up, nothing...
Khaki: The Flirc is only going to control the device it is plugged into. I'm assuming your "Watch TV" activity is just that, you want to watch OTA or cable televison, in which case the TV or set-top box should be what is changing channels, not the FireTV. In fact the FireTV wouldn't even be involved in this activity. You need to set up another activity ("Watch FireTV"?) which switches TV to the correct HDMI input and audio to receiver or TV depending on how you have it physically connected. Then use the keys you've programmed on the Harmony to control the FireTV via Flirc. Hope that helps.

I got lots of double press issues with v1.3.6 of the GUI and v3.6 Firmware. I fixed the issues by going via EventGhost which (with a bit of work) allows you to manage things better (see )
The other thing you can try is to set the inter-key delay to 7 by using the command line tool. To do this you need to navigate to where your flirc GUI executable is stored and you'll see a flirc_utlil.exe program which you can execute from the command line. It will show the help summary if you just execute it with no commands; the inter-key delay will be amongst those options.

I would like to try this as I'm still getting double keys even after changes to both Flirc via GUI and the Harmony interface. So I open a command line, run "flirc_util.exe", get the list of commands, but obviously I'm not a DOS guru because regardless of which command I then enter at 'C:\Program Files <x86>\Flirc>" I get 'interkey_delay" or "status" or "keys" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. My flirc is plugged into a USB port, and it is recognized by the GUI version of the software (although I closed the GUI before running command line tool. Any suggestions?

Really glad I was able to help. I really think most of us that have suffered with the Harmony's horrible UI tend to overly complicate the Flirc set up because we can't believe anything can just work as easily as it should! Wish I had a nickel for every time I unnecessarily saved my Flirc configuration during set up--a Harmony conditioned response!

Opened the Flirc GUI, then plugged in Flirc, chose Controllers>Fire TV
Clicked Enter on GUI, pressed Enter (or OK button on remote), then repeated for up/down/left/right, etc. All but the FF and REW. My 650 has a nice button that corresponds to the Amazon's "Return", on my 720 I assigned it to "Exit."
Then I chose Controllers>Full Keyboard
Clicked "F" on GUI, pressed FF on remote, clicked "R" on GUI, pressed REW on remote, clicked "Page UP" on GUI, clicked up arrow on remote, "X" on GUI, Stop on remote, etc.
Just make sure you don't use a remote button you've previously assigned to the FireTV commands for a keyboard command. I know the Flirc is supposed to keep you from doing that, but it didn't always work for me.
The FireTV's "return" button doesn't have the same effect in Kodi as the keyboard's "ESC" or "backspace/delete" key, so on the 650 I assigned the "exit" key to "ESC" (remember I had already assigned the physical return button on the Harmony to the Fire's return.

I set up two Flircs using a TimeWarner DVR remote and actually learned the buttons. Did the same thing with the Flircs--programmed all the FireTV remote commands first(except for FF and REW), then added all the XBMC "extras" using keyboard commands(e.g., FF, REW, Page UP, skip back 7 secs, Next Sub) I had issues with multiple key presses wtih the first Flirc, but then saw a suggestion to NOT point the Harmony (or any remote for that matter) directly at the Flirc when assigning keys. Computer's USB port is under my desk, I'd point Harmony at the wall over my desk and Violá, working like a champ. I hope that helps.

Hi Speedy: I've not had that problem since the Kodi interface wasn't an option when I set mine up, but I'd suggest just assigning those functions using the full keyboard : backslash for FS/windowed and S for shutdown menu. You'll have to erase those buttons first-- click the erase button on the flirc interface then push the button on the remote you wish to erase then record anew. I hope that helps.
